I think you are right Marlin. The cool weather we had persisted and then met up with heavy rains . The ground has never dried up yet, leaving very moist conditions in the fields. We have not been able to cut our hay yet and now heavy rains are beating the hay down flat. I also fear that this is going to be a very poor hatch this year. I have seen numerous hens feeding alone recently and the gobblers on my KY. hunting are are still out strutting daily, trying to attract hens. I assume that there is still some second chance breeding going on. This is not the hatching weather we need, for sure !
