I stated my point.  The numbers don't make sense and I'm just curious.  That is all.  I'm not pointing fingers or making accusations, just pointing it out and asking questions.

Geez, after all of the good things I've read about this forum I didn't expect such hostile reactions.

Well, being a non posting member reading about turkey hunting you should have already seen that the members of this site are pretty fair, stand up guys.  I would think a first post would be something like, "Who makes a good boxcall" or "Here are some pictures from my hunt".  Asking about member numbers and forum stats throws up a red flag in my opinion that trouble is in the making.  If this was not your intent, I apologize but we aint idiots over here.......

My line of thinking was just wondering if anyone had noticed that.
I've been a member on here for some time and never even seen the page with the stats you posted. Your post is just there to stir the pot. If numbers is what your looking for maybe you should join:

No respect should be given to a man who does not honor his word. He is just an adolescent who's acorns haven't dropped yet.

Those who stir the S**T pot should have to lick the spoon.

I understand what you are saying. As I have said, I have no problem with this post being deleted.  I have no ill feelings against any of the members here.

If it is decided that I am still welcome here, I shall only post about turkey hunting.

Hey guys , let's step back a second and relax . I didn't see anything out of line in his question . Here we are telling everyone how good this site is and how we are all friends , but we attack another member because he was curious about the stats . If xbox is being honest , then he told us who he is and where he lives , let's give him the benefit of the doubt . I think it is possible that you might have him confused with someone else . I don't see anything accusatory in his question at all , just seems like curiosity . He has been polite and didn't say anything deformatory about anyone , even in his replys to the harsh way he has been greeted . If xbox is being dishonest then this is not the forum for him to be on . But I suggest that we don't treat each other this way or we will have the same reputation as the other forums do right now . Some of you suggested that he should have contacted an admin. to ask this question in a pm . I believe that the nasty replys to him should also have been done in pm's not in public . It just looks like an outright attack over a simple question . I know the stats might not make sense but neither does calculus , lol . Someone should try answering the question in a polite and informative manner, so we don't look like we are jumping on someone . I know I wouldn't like to be treated that way . Just my honest opinion guys .  That being said , xbox if you are lurking to cause trouble , we don't play like that around here so please don't bring poo to this site . But if you are just a curious member , then stay around and try chatting with a few of us , you will enjoy the site even more if you are active in it . Have a great day everyone !

Yeah what you are not seeing are how many people register vs get approved... aka not in the right group to see all that.

The last reason is do to us being signed up for some spam (more on it under my post about maintenance).  We were averaging about 30 bad members an hour at one point.

Lastly, they are just numbers.  No advertising, no revenue, no nothing generated from them.  Doesn't matter if there were 10 or 10,000 members....

Hope that clears the air ....

not very computer savy , but the time it takes to screne each applicant to what ever extent... is just another small example of the behind the scenes things that has to be done for this site to keep it as it is. All the MORE reason for everyone to see that this auction helps us help the guys that work this site to make it easier for them and better for us !!!! Did ya see the stat Porter alluded to about the spamers and the totals  :o
Sorry for the sales pitch, but this auction is a chance we all  can give a little something back in some way or another.
We have alot of commitments from makers as well as collectors, the products should start comming in soon
