Pink Ivory and Holly

It has been a busy week in the shop,alternating between rain and humidty so it has been fun trying to get finish applied, (or should I just say trying?) Here is a call I'm just finishing up, still have a little more to do but took advantage of the interlude between showers to get a picture. I made this for Karen Turner aka "The Vermont Huntress" it is Holly with Pink Ivory, first call I have made in this combination, and the first call in a set I am making. The base had a lot of figure, but also some small knots or pitch pockets, not sure if I like it as much as I thought I would :-\

Beautiful box, the inclusions just add character. Nice combo never seen those two together before!

Bob,  It is a nice sounding call now, I had one side off just a little bit so it wasn't tracking properly, I worked on it until about 10:30 pm last night and put it up. Finally got it tracking right this morning (which was time consuming) and got it tuned and sprayed the finish. Starts off sweet and finshes with some nice rasp.
