I have had a few of those unwanted guests in my shop over the years. I had smaller size traps and they werent doing th job, so I got the biggest one I could find and hooked a piece of raw bacon in it. Next day I went out there in the shop to see that I got the night before. WHat I got I hadnt planned on, I followed a blood trail around the shop, but no rat and NO trap!!!!! Then a few weeks later I was in the shop, brutally hot BTW, working on the lathe. I had a fan off to my left running on high, one over on the front of me and one on the floor to my right. Something caught my peripheral to the right, I looked down and had a heart attack!!! 50' of anaconda!!!!!! Biggest freaking snake I had ever seen
Well, it wound up being 5' of kingsnake, I gave him the shop the rest of the day. I havent seen "Herman" in some time, but the local rat population has noticeably decreased
