It's a sad time, but FYI OSAGE ROOST will be pulling the plug at the end of the month. It's been a great 15 years since the start, but it's hardly ever used now and time to move on!

Grits are made from America's first grain - CORN! Nothing bad about them, except Yankees not knowing how to cook them!
Did a little research: Grits are made from hominy...corn with the hull and germ removed...doesn't seem very "gritty".So, I guess Grits = Corn For Sissies! (Buck up boys....Eat real corn!)
Actually, the best grits are stone ground from dried whole kernel corn. Those are the ones I eat. Lots of folks have only had "sissy" or instant grits which bear little resemblance to the real deal.
