Being unknown and not having a big "list" has its advantages.    You can let your mind and hands wander around a lot.  I am always amazed, inspired and just totally blown away by all the work and calls that show up here.  Truly outstanding talent.  But one thing I have noticed is that you rarely if ever see any form of humor in our calls.   We laugh about hunting and "tell our tales" and enjoy the good times of course but lets face it, as a turkey hunter sometimes ya just gotta laugh!  Either that or cry! And I like to tell a story with a call when I can.  So I was thinking along these lines and wondering about what happens to all those birds you saw on the property just a week or 2 ago...... AND being dead set and determined to find something I could do with this dang woodburner Witter talked me into (I believe I have found my perfect level of artistic ability! ).  I thought about all this and then I heard (in my mind) that old irritable, nasty hen that got between me and MR. BIG last year.  Thru in some funky, knotty wood that I really love and that most of you would probably throw away. And this is the result. I mean come on.......ya gotta at least smile!

LT, this is cool, funny, hilarious actually and appropriate with good timing for the site.  The beach scene is killing me, love the ice cold corn sign...this is priceless.  We all need a good laugh and this fit the bill perfectly.  You really stuffed an ornary raspy hen going in that caller and she brings plenty of attitude as well, she'll be responsible for a few gobblers wandering close to the gun for you.

The wood burning is great, it really is....now ya got me thinking about ideas
