Maple/Jack pine

I traded this teaser to a friend in Ky. at x-mas time, he sent me a jar of homemade honey and a wingbone call. I sent him the call and two strikers, a walnut/cedar and a walnut/mahogany. He finally got out yesterday to hunt and called in this 2yo, with an 8" beard and 7/8" spurs. Hope he has luck with it the rest of his seasons.

Thanks Mike, they are a unique little call. From the reports back to me on them, they've done very well so far. It will be interesting to see how the different surfaces do by the end of seasons. So far the maple surfaced calls are winning with 8 birds, purpleheart surfaced are in 2nd with 4 birds, I haven't heard anything back on the walnut, cherry, and yellowheart surfaced calls as of yet? Still a lot of season yet to go.

Those calls do sound good.  I played a few at Nashville and was quite impressed.
