I have literally been out of touch....no cell phone, no internet for 10 days. Well I was in touch a couple days going and a a couple days returning.
The San Juan River in New Mexico is the No. 1 tail water trout fishing in the U.S. The river comes out of the Navajo Lake and is 42 degrees year around. There is 5 miles of quality waters with thousands of fish per square mile. But man, they are finicky eaters and have seen so many flies, you better be tied up right and present it naturally or they won't touch it. This is only the third time I've been fly fishing but I caught enough big ones to be satisfied. We camped out for 6 days on the river with a bunch of friends from Abilene, TX. Had Bible studies around the campfire at night and fished during the day and ate like kings. Beautiful country and fantastic weather.
Here are the only photos that I have of the big ones.

my 19 inch and he was a monster, took forever to land him
