There were a few strange ones in Nashville.  One I remember was just a head and neck.  No body. A few motorized ones that turned and the tail went up and down.  All gadgets to get folks to part with their money.

I noticed this trend also. I wonder how long it will be before someone starts trying to market a gear box to put it all in, other than the pickup box & topper.

Sort of like "who can get away with the least and claim it as being effective when compared against the full decoys"

I have dekes and use them occasionally but really not a big fan. All this new marketing hype...

I was hunting with a fellow couple years ago and he told me that he had birds roosted, pop up blind set and dekes out for us.  We were going in the next morning and were going in ninja style and a bird started ripping rite off the trail...no further than 100 yards.  I couldn't believe it, he wanted to pass rite on by a bird in the hand so we could go get in the blind. WHAT??? It was like he didn't know how to hunt a "free" bird and couldn't grasp the concept of hunting a bird if you weren't in a blind with dekes out.  Just way tooooo much time watching hunting TV and stuff I figure.  :-\
