Brent, The idea of a HOF is a good one. I think, IMO that the frame work may need to be limited. If it is open to ALL callmakers alive and dead, it may take years for someone worthy to get in because of the population of deceased callmakers. In PA, the State Chapter has a HOF which was originally opened to people outside of PA but later refined to those in PA. Point being, many PA people didn;t like outsiders being in their (PA) HOF. I think for starters, if this goes into place, you should consider those callmakers that have been members since OR started. I think that would be fair and may get people to join or re-join that have not been on or left for other reasons. There are so many call makers past and present, that the present ones may be gone before they get a nomination. Earl Mickel wrote three books on callmakers, so the population is very large. Just some things to consider as you move forward. Also, many may not get to the National to receive the award and they (NWTF) would have to approve of this before presentations are given out. Certificates could be issued to winners stating they have been inducted into the Osage Roost HOF, just like the PA State Chapter does with its inducted members A plaque could be optional with all the winners over time added each year. Great idea that may need to be re-defined but worthy of action.
