Most of you know that I am a turkey call junkie but before that I was a rifle and scope nut. I have Zeiss, Swarovski, Kahles, Leupold, Nikon, and Burris scopes on my rifles. I will say that you get what you pay for in a rifle scope. Do not kid yourself if you think there is no advantage to the higher dollar European scopes. What they buy you is that 10 to 15 minutes of extra shooting light. If you hunt stands where that is critical then they can be the difference between a clean kill and no shot at all. I had a shooting range with a target set up at 100 yards. I would take my rifles with the various scopes and look at the target late in the afternoon until I could not make it out any longer. The European scopes were the best with the Leupold, Nikon, and Burris scopes following. Leupold, Nikon, and Burris are fine scopes, but for not that much more money you can get a Kahles which is what I used to take a nice buck this year with my muzzleloader very late one evening. I bought the Kahles off ebay and it was slightly used when I got it but did not have a mark on it.
