First trip out west.
« on: September 27, 2011, 03:39:40 PM »
Well a friend and I drove out to Wyoming last week to chase some public land Mule Deer. I missed a decent 3x3 the first night. My buddy shot a young 3x3 the next morning and a doe Antelope the day after. The next day I bought a left over either sex Antelope tag. We crawled down a diversion ditch leading into a green field. We watched this buck the night before he seemed to be the boss.

After about a half hour he fed to 54 yards and I took the shot. I won't lie, it was a bad hit but I stayed after him and got it done in the end. Time to start saving for next year.

I don't know much about Goats but he has length, mass and character. Antelope are very cool animals to watch. They seem to be very protective of one another.

That is a fine looking antelope with a bow. I bet it is a P&Y.

Nothing like being out West this time of year. Simply gorgeous country.

I've always wanted to do a goat hunt.  I saw a ton of them in NM and AZ.  Amazingly fast creatures...

Congrats!
