6 Bearded Tennessee Bird
« on: May 06, 2011, 08:48:20 PM »
Got on this bird a couple of times with wiltznucs last week but we could never finish the deal. We had him at about 30-35 yards last Friday but couldn't shoot through brush. My cousin worked him yesterday morning first thing before giving up and moving on and killing a more willing bird. I finally got to witness the ole boy die this morning when my uncle put the hammer down on him. He had 6 beards that totaled just over 46 inches.

Dang Clint, you should have claimed that one yourself. That one would have made your team hard to beat!!!

As much as I would have loved to have killed him, I was more happy for my uncle. Him killing a turkey was top priority this morning. After the fits that particular bird had given us the last week, we really had no intentions of setting up on him this morning......but when he was the only thing gobbling on roost, he didn't leave us much choice. It was a blessing in disguise. He finally decided to cooperate this morning.
