Eleven
« on: April 25, 2011, 04:49:40 AM »
Yesterday evening I put the finishing touch on the Alabama season. This is the eleventh year in a row April has ended with a limit. Been a tough year. This final week the turkey's finally started acting out there normal routine. PANIC gobbling, searching for that last hen to breed. Well no big story, another good bird and a great ending. Look out Georgia here I come. I got empty tags.

Yup that's one of them old NWTF models. I believe I got that gun in 1990 as a gift from my MOM. She's well traveled, killed birds and deer in 5 states. She was stolen in 1998 I got her back in 2002. She's been through thick and thin. Ole gal found new life with a COMP N Choke 665 3yrs ago. She's been the death on many and has crawled several miles with me. I have other and probably better guns. But she has a lot of sentimental value and she is reliable. I'd feel lost setting down to a turkey bird without her in hand!
