Got an invite to join up with 2 father/son duo's this past weekend to a place above the Little River Canyon area clost to Ft Payne and WQiess Lake. Was not sure about what kinda hunting the guy had, so I packed up and we went camping on top of that part of the world from Fri evening till sunday late afternoon. We encountered lots of birds even though they were not gobbeling hard by anyones standards. Roosted 3 longbeards the first night and checked one of the out the next late morning---he was really heavy bird. We worked on getting the boys a bird the rest of the day and got me another chance Sunday morning where another unluck gobbler got introduced to my friend NITRO !!!
WE HAD A GREAT TIME---THE BOYS GOT THEIR BIRDS ALSO ......we camped in a area with a unreal view for miles in those mountains.
