My hunting buddy, Tim, and I hit the woods Wednesday and Thursday morning and found some gobbling fools. These birds are flocked up with 7-8 toms and a bunch of hens... and are gobbling like crazy !
Wednesday morning we each killed a gobbler within five minutes of each other. I got a two year old and Tim's was three years old.
Stats: My bird= 20 lbs, 10 1/4 inch beard, 7/8 inch spurs
Tim's bird= 23 lbs, 10 inch beard, 1 inch, sharp/curved spurs

This morning we got to the farm 30 minutes earlier and snuck up into the roost in the dark. Ending up sitting 18 yards from a longbeard in the tree. We got to watch him wake up from sitting on the limb to standing, stretching, spitting with only some slight drumming, and gobble. We also got to watch him pitch down directly away from us about 60 yards and follow some hens away.

After holding our ground for a while, we split up and pursued seperate vocal gobblers. I got played and Tim killed another three year old.
Stats: 22 lbs, 10 inch beard, 1 inch sharp spurs
