Pine cone purr pot

Got a crazy idea of turning a pine cone the other day. Here is the third attempt. 1st and 2nd blew up on the lathe. The white spots on the bottom are the pine seeds.

That is really cool. It has kind of a snake skin look. How much CA did it take to hold it all together?
