Don't you just love new fired up young turkey hunters.
Here is an opening day picture of TJ's third bird with one of my Gator's. This is just a note to say say Thanks!!!! a young college boy, fired up on TURKEY HUNTING. -- I was doing seminars this week in Oxford, Ms. and TJ pointed me to a bottom in public woods similiar to this one Wed. afternoon when I had about an hour and a half to hunt. Blinded up upon walking out in this bottom, started a series about 15 minutes later and after about 10 minutes had a nice 3 yr. old closing to 38 steps. I could not get a shot. He put some trees on me and pulled up and stopped just behind them. When the hen did not show up he moved out of range behind the trees. Hit a couple of gobbler yelps and he gobbled going away. TJ was down further and later he said, "Mr. E that bird sounded like he was in your lap." All I could say was "thanks for a chance to kill a fine bird, He was in my lap."
