Table Saw Died
« on: December 21, 2010, 04:40:04 PM »
Just in time For Christmas   *aah*   *cry* Bearings went out while I was reducing some alaskan yellow cedar. I don't have a spare motor for it.. it is a direct drive..but I did unearth and old 1HP belt drive motor that came off an old 1960's Craftsman..have to take it apart and rebuild it...can't afford a new saw..or even a new motor ...I probably will get the old Craftsman up and running sometime tomorrow..it was a top of the line saw in its day...but a 1HP motor ain't gonna cut it for any length of time...taking the opportunity to clean up the shop and move stuff around. Getting rid of a couple of old bandsaws too a 14" craftsman and a 14" Universal...trying to get a little more open space in the shop
