Turkeys rank #1 in my book, but when it gets cold, all I want is a swamp full f ducks and a good dog to share the blind with. Got both yesterday. We let the wood ducks go by and land in the decoys as the skies were filled with mallards. And boy did they read the script. Purdiest morning of decoying mallards I have ever witnessed.We did shoot the woodies, but not until after 9am

Dont do it Mike, you thought turkey hunting was expensive????? New gun, waders, calls, blind bags, lanyards, dogs, boats, decoys, travel, unheard of waking times, cold, wet, chokes, shells, COLD, WET, batteries, COLD, WET, mpre calls ( wood duck, mallard, Canada goose, specklebelly goose, drake mallard). This list could be enless. The best part about it though is spending time with good companions and my bestest hunting buddy Stonewall. Cant put a price on that
