Blackfalcon Deer Grunt
« on: November 10, 2010, 10:56:08 PM »
I had an itching for a new grunt for the year (they're just as addicting as turkey calls for me) and got ahold of Dave and came up with a plan for a great one.   One of Dave's great grunts made of osage with a little flame treatment.  Not for sure but think the band may be of buffalo horn.  Thing sounds great and has the typical Dave high quality.  Thanks Dave.  Dave is also a much better photographer than I.

I said that "I like turkey hunting", never said anything about being any good at it.

Jeremy, It was a pleasure making it for you. The band is buffalo horn, maybe next time we can plan one with deer or elk antler band  ;D  My son got the first one I made like this, (I guess he thought I had made it for him as it matched one of the duck calls I made him) and I never noticed it missing until a couple days after he left..Kids!  ROTFLMBO  Anyways, I hope it brings you good luck and a buck or two to remember!
