Well I had one of the best deer hunts in a long time, the deer were moving early and I saw 3 does, I let the arrow fly and watched her drop within site of the stand, I sat and debated whether to get down and begin the processing, I then saw a 4 pt and a 6 pt buck work their way through feeding on the white oak acorns...I decided to stay put bc it was one of those afternoons, the deer are moving! soon thereafter 5 more does fed through as sunlight faded I had about 30 min left when I caught some movement in front of me, I cut my camera back on and coming down the trail was this big bodied 8 pointer...he was moving right in front of me, I positioned the camera where I thought he may go and got ready, I realeased the arrow at 16 yards and he to fell within sight of the stand...he weighed just over 170 lbs and was a good deer...I gave the doe away to a needy family and put the buck in my freezer, Now off to Ohio for some fall turkey hunting with Marlin and Jeff!!!
