A Gift from Marlin Watkins
« on: September 03, 2010, 01:13:20 PM »
When I went to VA to get my turkey dog from Mr.Brynes, Marlin and I made it that we would be there at the same time to finally meet.Marlin and his friends were playing his calls and we talked a bit about calls, dogs and hunting. We then went to the farm to pick up our litter mates.Since that day Marlin and I been talking on the phone about are dogs and their progress in training so far.Marlin told me about this call that Pete Clare has used over the last 6 seasons in the fall that has called a lot of birds in with it.He then surprised me and told me that for a gift he was making me the same wood combo.I was floored with this great jesture. The body is made from Port Orford Ceder from Oregon. The lid is Red Ceder from Florida

I thought you would be bigger
