Not quite the same spot 21 years later.

Had to go back and try the largemouths with ole man river dropping 1/2 ft a day.  Broke loose and headed down to an old run of the Ms. river about 30 minutes south of Greenville.  As I figured with the falling river they would move to the deepest spot on the roadbed.  They were sitting there when I got there at 4:00 today.  They slacked off about 5;30 even thought the major was still going at 6:00.  Ended up with 12 largemouths on the upstream side of the roadbed.  They ran 2 1/2 to 4 with the majority around 3 1/4.  Very good fish for this time of year.  Caught on a parrot colored DT-6 which I lost.  Hot as heck, but the fish made up for it.  5 river stripes about 1 3/4 lbs on the downstream side.  Pound for pound they are the best fighters. ---   It will be good in the AM  *up* *up* *up*
