My hunting partner was 67 last year and I watched him lose the bottom of his climber about 10 feet up...  Guy is roughly 300lbs....  I'm not sure how he didn't break a bone or really get hurt.  Knocked the wind out of him was about it.  I told him know more trees for him.

I can only imagine the pain you were in.  That would scare the bejesus out of me!!!

Been shooting since turkey season ended! Going to break out the climber today and shoot some from the stand for realistic practice.

I have never worn a harness but this year I'm going to finally start...I've had a few close calls and am no longer willing to take the chance!!

deacon, i would look into the link i posted on the first page.  i like knowing that i will be connected from before i start climbing, till the time i get down.  and you can use it with any harness.  i actually bought one of the hss harnesses (the vest), but i actually prefer the simple harness that came with my summit.

  ... thought I'd post a pic of where I "tune-up" - here's a pic of the "bow range" at my place ...

... this was taken when I had targets from 15 to 35 yds ...
... have added a few more of the hangers since then - stretched it out to 50 yds ...
... ditto the "safety harness" stuff guys - I won't climb without my "Seat of the Pants" full harness - been using 'em since they 1st came out many years ago ... RkLu
... definately be safe & "live to climb another day" !!!

"would sure hate to hav' to pick between the two of 'em"                                                                                     TFM 101 ... ::)

Yes sir Mr Porter Sitka Spruce are wood arrows. Used in competition shooting. Thats what I hunted with. They are the best I ever used. Expensive but fantastic.
