What a great call! Don was one of the nicest people you could ever meet and his wife Peggy is the sweetest lady I know (next to my wife...of course)! Any call Don made and sold never went to a customer, until Mrs. Peggey played it first, and it received her OK! They made a great couple! I will always remember Don's smile and everytime I hear thunder, I smile....and think of Don laughing!

Thanks zumer for posting my Chancey call. The call is a very special call in my collection. It has a very personal inscription on the lid and is the first cherry paddle call he made.Don called me Dec. 2005 and ask if I would be willing to trade calls with him I could not believe Don wanted to trade with me I was honored. After a long talk Don ask for a paddle call made of Butternut and Mahogany my 2005 Gibson winning call I also ask for a paddle call. I built the call and gave it to Don at the Feb. 2006 Grand Nationals he looked the call over ran his finger up and down the inside of the sound chamber ( I was thinking I sure hope it is good enough) He put the call up to his ear ran one side and then the other He looked at Peggy she gobbled he turned to me with a smile I will never forget and I knew he was happy. He told me he had a call started for me and would finish it after turkey season. Later that spring I talked with Don and he told me of his health issues and when he was feeling better he would finish my call I told him not to worry about my call just work on getting better. We lost Don on Aug. 18, 2006 We lost a Great callmaker a good friend and a true champion !!!!! I received the call from Peggy and is a treasured call in my collection. Thank you Peggy and Thank you Don
