Jim, Jory, and I have been in Oklahoma over the weekend for a fast and furious hunt. I got home late this evening and I believe Jim and Jory are on the way back to Mississippi. Let's just say some tags were filled. I will wait for Jim and Jory to get home to do some posting.

Zumer,

Remember your famous quote, "Patience Grasshopper."

I know Jim got some good pics of his and Jory's birds but you know how I am about cameras. I got pics of the second bird I killed but the only pic I know of that was taken of the first bird was on a cell phone in the dark by our "guide." Not sure I will ever see that pic but he told me he would send it to me. Dang turkeys in Oklahoma are a lot like deer. They do not move until 15 minutes before dark and then come in gobbling and strutting.

Our OK Hunt Gobbler Scorecard - Ricky 2 / Jory 2 / Jim 2
Unfortunately our "guide" didn't have land on a 2nd OK County for any of us to take the 3rd OK gobbler - we were in a 2 bird county ... :-\

Rickey took his 2 gobblers on the 1st & 2nd afternoon hunts, Jory took his 2 gobblers on the 2nd morning hunt, & I took my 2 gobblers on the 1st & 3rd (last) morning hunts ... 8) 8) 8)

... here's Rickey & Jory with Rickey's 2nd gobbler - with Jory's "little Marlin" killer Fiddle Box caller ... 8) 8)

... I will leave the story of this great hunt to Rickey & Jory ... 8)

"would sure hate to hav' to pick between the two of 'em"                                                                                     TFM 101 ... ::)

It seems I killed the nightime birds and Jim and Jory got the morning birds. One of the birds I killed was strutting and gobbling and I could barely see my sight on my Benelli it was so dark. I also have a hard time counting to three but I will let Jory tell you that one. Let's just say I thought we were both shooting but only my gun went off. I cost Jory a bird the second afternoon but he made up for it the next morning with a double. This is the only pic I have of the birds I killed. I was not prepared for pics the first afternoon we started and killed one but shot a good portion of his beard off so he was not much to look at. The guide took a pic of it with his cell phone but I doubt I will see that one.

Let me say I had an absolute blast with Jim and Jory. You guys that met them at Nashville know what I mean when I say they are fine folks. I told Jim today the only way the hunt could have been better is if my son had gotten to go with us. I was on the way home when Jim killed "the boss gobbler" but we had seen him the day before and he was a real hoss. Can't wait to see pics of that one.
