Canadian Jake

Just a big Jake, but He's a trophy to me!!!

Started him off with the Sitka/Yellowheart longbox, and finished him off with the Butternut/Walnut shorty.
I first saw him and his buddy when they were black specks in the distance. I hit the longbox, and they gobbled back. They started coming and gobbled everytime I hit it. I lost sight of them when they hit a bush line, and they hung up for a bit. I switched to the shorty, and purred. They started coming again, gobbling all the while. I went silent and they came up to the fenceline about 100 yds from where I was. they dove under the fence and came right in, in full strut. I put the red dot on his head and closed the deal! 14.2 lb, 3" beard, and nubs.

Great job man!  It's been tough here in MO hunting, so anything is a treasure IMO!
