Man I had a heck of a hunt this morning! Got to the woods late, got out of the truck and walked to my listening spot and saw 3 deer feeding and heard one gobble, went to him and saw him in the pasture by himself. I got Daryl Slatons osage copper call out and gave just a couple of yelps and hear he come, but he hung up out in the pasture just over a little hill where I couldn't see him about 50 yards away. I could sure hear him tho cause he was gobbling his head off, double and triple gobbling! Well when I wouldn't come out of the woods to him he left, crossed a ditch and crossed another narrow pasture and into some more woods. So I made a big loop and got on him again, and this time I pulled my Doug Morgan box call and gave him some yelps and he cut me off with a gobble, gave him one more yelp and he cut me off again, so I set the box down and waited, prolly no more than two minutes and he was flopping. All in all this morning I bet he gobbled over a hundred times! He liked that copper I got from Daryl and went crazy for that box I got from Doug, Two great calls from two great guys and horny two year old gobbler, made this hunt one i'll remember a loooong time!
I have to appologize to Daryl, I forgot to put your call in the pic with the turkey, I didn't leave it out intenionaly, just forgot to get out of my vest. Doug asked me to put his call in the pic is the only reason I thought about putting his call in there. Sorry buddy!
