This Walnut/Butternut longbox arrived in today's mail. Within the first five minutes of playing this call I understood why it's Al's favorite wood combo for his longboxes.
The soft calls are as sweet as the loud calls. It has a high front end and breaks into a nasty rasp on the backend of the yelps. The kee-kee's are just awesome, not to mention the clucks, purrs and cutts.

I'd swear there's a turkey inside this call.

Thanks for a great sounding call Al and for the recommendation of this wood combo.
