A Wilky Shortbox

I got this call from NY callmaker Dan Wilkenson.  It is a Yellowheart/Butternut combo that sounds awesome.  I haven't seen much of his work posted but he does a fine job on his calls.

Have not heard of him Lou but that is a very nice box and if you say it sounds good then it sounds good!

Lou,

Great looking caller. Here is mine from Dan. You are right, he makes a great sounding call with a different base design and rounded box ends. Mine is Poplar/Walnut.

Rickey.

Congrats on yours too.  RkLu

He makes a fine call and I thought for sure that we'd see more of his calls around.  Maybe he just hasn't gotten the exposure.  I know I have no problem hunting this call.  RkLu

WOW - those are certainly two very fine & distinct lookin' callers there Lou & Rickey ...
... I see his lid handle is a little "skinnier" than some / most, & the rounded box ends are very cool - a couple of great lookin' callers indeed ... 8) 8) 8)

Lou, You correct about Dan`s callers. They are all turkey! I have 5 Dan Wilkensen callers and they all run turkey! The last I knew he was busy with other stuff and has`nt been making callers. To bad because he makes a mighty fine caller. RkLu
