That's very cool.  Pardon my ingornance,  I'm used to hunting behind my shorthair for upland game.  Cant use dogs for turkey here in IL.  How far does the dog get away from you?  Obviously you are not running through the woods like he is. How is he/she located again? GPS collar, barks? I get the jist of what happens after he/she breaks the flock, cant believe they lay so still with the hunter, great obedience. Anyway very nice video and thanks for sharing.

Cutter always comes back after the break, I've never used a GPS on him. Not sure how far he goes on a break , But  most times I hear him barking when he breaks them up. I think a lot of times he goes back to the last time he seen me and back trails my scent. Most of the time the breaks are a couple hundred yards and I hear all the wing flapping and alarm putts

Thanks Muzzleman, that is pretty interesting stuff.  I love watching my dog work the pheasant/quail fields, I couldn't even imagine something like that. Must be very rewarding for you. Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work!
