Farmboy Gobbler Box Call
« on: December 27, 2014, 02:14:34 PM »
Ole' Ronnie Clough hooked up with "Mrs. Claus" again this year, and I ended up with this beauty of a box call for Christmas 2014. Ronnie donated "his" #1 version of this box this past September to benefit Miranda Miller. He shipped me the box about a week early, and I had just enough time with it to develop quite the crush on it. I walked around the house with box in hand, taunting my wife, showing her how nice it looked and sounded. She's a great sport about things like that. Well, my plan worked, at the auction, she had a secret bidder(my sister) bidding on the call, until she realized exactly who else was bidding.  Seems Andy Snair was also bidding, so my wife called off my sister, and Andy ended up getting the box for his grandson, Zaiderman !! The call was one of the crowds favorites of the day.  Well as time moved on, I guess so did my thoughts on the call. I was generally surprised when I unwrapped it. Its a really nice call, sounds awesome, although I don't think it will see woods time. Look CLOSE at the artists initials, its our own resident roosters artist, Ms. Kelly P !!. Fantastic work Kelly, perhaps my favorite piece of work that I have of yours !!
