Spent the day turkey doggin with my dad, Job, and his awesome dogs Gunner and Hope. Saw a flock go into the woods from a cut cornfield and we were able to come in behind them Gunner made a great break and we had turkeys flying everywhere. Got set up and after about 25 minutes of calling a young jake came in but was separated from us by some heavy brush. He must have really liked what he heard from one of my box calls and a Permar Kee-er because he flew over it and landed about 15 yards from us. He took a load of #6's and that was it. Decided to go bust up another flock instead of taking another out of that flock. We were able to break up two more flocks during midday but it just didn't work out to get another one to the gun. Job has a great dog in Gunner and a very promising future with his pup Hope. Thanks again Job for an awesome day. Can't wait to do it again.
