Fall Gobblers with the Dwain Bland "Special"

What a challenge it is indeed to work Fall gobblers. This pair were brought to their demise last weekend with gobbler yelps rendered on Ralph's Dwain Bland "Special" gobbler trumpet. In Nashville, at the show, Ralph patiently let me work this call for a few days before I finally selected the call. I'm sure glad I did. The design allows for some really nice deep, guttural gobbler talk. I busted up a group of about 15 right at dusk. At daybreak the next morning it was on. We got positioned near the break spot from the day before and gobblers/jakes were coming from all directions. Flying and walking in both. I called four gobblers within range and took these two. I don't post much, but I wanted to give Ralph his due for making a Great call. Thanks my friend.

Looks like a great hunt.  Bet the little guy remembers that morning for a long long time.  *up*

Looks like that one bird has a decent set of spurs on him.  Congrats on a great hunt.

Thanks for posting the hunt.  That type of call is overlooked when it comes to all the others out there.  However, it does have a place in the turkey vest of those that can bring out the best in them, and get results .  Dwain would be proud.

 I cherish my "Dwain Bland Special" that Ralph made, along w/ several calls I purchased from Dwain before his passing! Congrats on two fine Gobblers and for putting, a smile on the young mans face!   *up* *up* *up*
