Kentucky Bird
« on: May 02, 2013, 10:02:09 PM »
My first day in Kentucky started off slow and without a gobble before lunch. Went to another setup after lunch and had this bird gobble a couple hundred yards from me right after I got there. I played with him for 3.5 hours and had all but given up on him when I finally spotted him in the field I was watching. He spotted the Dave Smith jake from about 70 yards out and was tripping over himself coming in. He was a tank. 25 lbs., 11" beard,  1 3/8" & 1 1/4" spurs.
