Bird down in KY This Mornin'!
« on: April 27, 2013, 05:33:32 PM »
Feels good to have a bird down, being that this was my last weekend to hunt since KY Derby is next weekend and I shall be partying!  *cheers*
Well me and Ol' JoeDirt got to the blind with daylight coming upon us quickly.. We got to the blind, settled in and waited. Around 7a.m. a Gobbler let a loud gobble that was just on the other side of the field! I got out McKamey's Butternut and Cherry short box and before I could play it the bird was 30 yards into the field! There's so much turkey packed into that call you didn't even need to play it to bring a bird in!  *lol*
That bird never stopped once all the way across the field, he was in Hot Pursuit of the decoy! Let him come to about 38 yards and laid the smack down on him!!

Beard: 10 1/4"
Spurs: 1"
