« on: February 27, 2013, 07:07:54 PM »
Hey all! I'm new on this site and looking for advise. I sell a lot of mahogany but I was wondering if you guys use much Mineral Stained Poplar?
These Block measure roughly 5" x 10" and about 10 ft long
Have you all seen  Mineral Stained Poplar marked like these before and are the desirable? See Pic's
I will be picking them up this weekend and I'll keep ya'll posted w/ pic's
I'm not sure about how much I will have once its all cleaned up.. But a bunch!

I picked up a little today... It's green and will need to dry.. 6-8 months depending on moisture.
I will have color between green to black/ Dark purple rainbow like.. This stuff is crazy pretty.
I will have a large amount.. I'll keep ya'll posted.

Can't make heads or tails of it from the pictures.  I do know that I have dealt with mineral stained poplar for over 20 years and have seen only one piece of blue, and it was only big enough to make three calls.  If that is really blue and it runs throught the piece and can be cut to make a solid blue scratch box, I want to get in line for one.  6" X 10" X 10 FEET?????  Wow! That would make a truckload of Mississippi Scratch Boxes!
