Bear hunting

I was curious if there is many people on here that bear hunt. I have never gone but i am this year. the last two years ive seen quite a few.

lastnight my father had to scare off a bear out of his garbage twice. this morning i was glassing a bean field and i saw a big bear trying to chase deer across the bean field. not sure if it was the same one but i wouldnt doubt it. the farmers started cutting the big corn fields down by the river. we are thinking that got this bear out and about. who knows

so who here bear hunts?

I've hunted bears.  My preferred method is to jump out of the tree and do a fatal stab to the cranium area!  Better be ready for the ride of your life though!

Used a spear once too on a grizzly.  He was ticked off!!!

Now I will dream tonight of an idiot on the back of a Grizzly!

We have some bruisers here and with the number of bears i've run into this year I think Pa hunters are going to have a good year. It's fun being unarmed and bumping into a big old bear who just stares at you.

We have a one week still hunt bear season here in SC. Never been so I figured I would give it a try. I guess I got really lucky that day because at 6:15 PM on 10/22/09 a big black bear walked out under me at 6 yards and got an arrow through and through. Went about 40 yards and was done.
