I really like that lanyard. Plus that trumpet is awesome. What is the mouth piece made from?

I actually hand picked that one on a trip to Billy's shop, October of last year. I was drawn to it right away on looks, and pulled it aside with about 10 others that i liked. I ran em and ran em, and that one just had something special so she took a ride. It is awesome with a number 4.

Here is another view

It is a looker for sure. Is the mouth piece removable?

Yes. All of Billy's calls have removable mouth pieces so you can change different size holes. He has push in and screw in style. This one is a screw in style.

He makes many different mouth piece materials. Wood, delrin, ivory, buff horn, micarta, corian, etc. He uses delrin as his standard. He says it doesnt swell and affect the sound like bone, ivory or wood. His personal favorite on his caller is micarta.

Thanks for the info. I like the ideas of changeable mouth pieces.

It depends on the call. I own 10 of his trumpets. I have #3 in 7 of them and #4 in the other 3.

Id say #3 is my favorite, followed by 4.
