Pat's NY Fall Bird

Pats Birthday was Thursday October 8th and he turned 12 which is the age you can get a license in NY.We all tried hard to get him a birthday bird but could not.Friday afternoon Walt ,Pat and I went looking for birds.We finally found a few in a field and let them walk into the wods.We then circled them and started into the woods we did not know that there was a nice size flock and I walked into them and birds went every where.It was around 5:30 pm so we sat down and gave it a little and started to call after a bit a bird answered they slowed worked there way from the bottom to the top where we were.At 6:25pm Pat had 12 birds single file infront of him he must of moved the gun a littel to much because 10 of them flew up into the trees and two stayed there.I then told Pat now or never and he shot and a bird was a floppin.We were high fiven.Pat did a great job.
