In the last couple months I have made a great new friend in Robert Glover or "Crawdad" on this forum. Despite more than thirty years age difference we certainly are bitten with the same affliction of love for turkey hunting and turkey calling. I have bought three really great trumpets from him now and a few days ago I went to his home to pick up the third he had ready for me. I had the priviledge of meeting his wife who also loves to hunt and kill turkeys and we figured out I had been attending a local NWTF banquet they were a big part of organizing the past three years. Glad to call them friends.
Robert gave me a very special surprise while we were visiting. He had made a beautiful hot pink trumpet and he gave it to me for my four year old daughter. To say she was excited is an understatement. She said it will match her hot pink and zebra room. She asked me how my friend knew her favorite color was hot pink? lol Anyway, thanks Robert you sure made her happy although her mom is not so excited about her calling in the house.
