Ralph Permar trumpet
« on: September 27, 2012, 08:07:35 PM »
With the fall season almost here I wanted to get one of Ralph's Roanoke yelpers. I got this one in macasser ebony and man this thing makes some of the nicest jake yelps and kee's. Then to top it off I thought I would dress up my Billy Buice osage trumpet with a #5 ivory mouth piece. I think I'm ready. ROTFLMBO

Thats two of the finest trumpet call makers in the land sitting side by side in my opinion.

The look great and wish I could afford one, he only lives about 45 minutes away.  A very nice man as well.  Had the pleasure of meeting him in Nashville this year.

I have one of Ralph's Roanoke River yelpers in African blackwood and it is an awesome thing.  $175 is a small price to pay for a call that sounds this good and is also a piece of art.  This call "lays 'em in the lilies" in the Spring, so I hope it works for you in the Fall.  *up*
