opening day n.c.
« on: April 16, 2012, 08:43:49 PM »
The LORD blessed with a beauitful open day here in stanly county, the day started off very quiet , no birds sounding off at all and the morning just kept passing by, 9:15 heard my first bird sound off in the distance, took a lewis stowe slate call that he gave me around 10 years ago and that old tom loved the sound of it, he just keep closing the gap between myself and him, finally he came into sight up the creek bottom, hit him with a mouth call and then he started his show , 38 yards and the show was over, another wonderful day in the coloring book that GOD puts before us each day , that we sometimes over look. 22 lbs. 10 1/4" beard, 1 1/8" spurs

"Quality is like buying oats. If you want nice clean oats you must pay a fair price. If you can be satisfied with oats that have already been through the horse, those come a lot cheaper".
