First Longbeard

I had rather be lucky than good any day of the week. Roosted this ole boy last night. He was on the edge of some public ground. Well we got as close as we dared to him this morning. He gobbled a bunch on the roost and called in some fellars from there adjoining private ground. Well long story short they got first shot at him but missed him....
He flew up in a tree right in front of us. Needless to say they weren't happy when my son kicked him off that limb with his 20 ga!!!

Great bird for your son.  I killed one about the same way when my hunting buddy started yelling at a poacher.  Congratulations to the young fellow.
