Amazing mud cured cedar from Don Clark !!

This is a fantastic call I got from my friend Don Clark recently . This is another one like I got last year that was made from mud cured cedar that came from an old railroad piling that was set in the ground in 1887 . Don works for the railroad so he gets to salvage some cool wood . This call is made from cedar but it looks like mineral poplar . It has alot of purple hew to it . The lid is made from chinkapin oak . This tree species died out from a blight but there was a standing dead chinkapin on the family farm and Don was able to salvage it . The sound is incredible just like all of Don's calls . Thanks for a great call bud !!

That's a great looking call from some nice people. I really like that cedar. When he told me the story about that cedar I was amazed. I've never seen any cedar like that before. It sounded good also.

Nice looking call, I got a longbow of Dons off of the silent auction at the Nationals, the more I run it the more I like it..  Ran it and several others over the phone last night while visiting with a well known call maker and it was his pick of the litter of all that I ran for him.  Don and his wife seem as genuine as they come as well.  *cheers*
