Have learned if there is nothing good to say about a particular topic, to say nothing. In the long run we will feel better to spread goodness instead of negativity. Some can't stand to stay quiet but, that is just thier present personal path.

I credit anyone with the Kahunas to post a soundfile, Matt Van Cise could post an anonymous sound file on some boards and get flamed.. But some of the soundfiles I have heard posted makes me wonder if the guy has ever heard others run a similar calling device or even listens to turkeys.. Its not only sound files but guys will post videos or stories about crawling behind a decoy and shooting a gobbler bragging or taking excessively long shots bragging and believe everyone is gonna sit back and pat them on the behind.. Folks surely cannot be so naive???

Like the above motto if you are going to post something that has a high probability of being met with criticism, don't post it, be prepared to defend yourself, or have thick skin..

 It isn't the fact, that we all have opinions,  the problem is that sometime, we can't help but voice them! Typing ones opinion, is far less practical than a face to face discussion!

Maybe someone needs to start the perfect site with the perfect people only allowed on it and the rest could be banned.  What a great idea and I would not be allowed on it either.  Someone needs to run with that idea.  I don't have the time to do it cause I have a full time job that has me working 7 days a week but I am sure there are people that have the time and would be great moderators (Much better than me) to police the site with a hammer.  Hope it happens!

Bob that a awesome Idea... You mean a perfect site with no agendas, no  ing. Where everyone can get along. No pm's bashing the members, moderators or the site. A site where members actually contribute, and are supportive of one another. Not lurking in the wings, were there only purpose is to stir the pot and cause continued controversy. That sounds like a great place... I to would love to see this site created!!

Is the goal to improve the sound of one's call?  If so, blowing smoke isn't helping anyone.  H3ll, we might as well make this emoticon ( ) mandatory for every response, when discussing sound and looks.  Everyone gets a trophy!   

I never said anyone had to stay Quiet. Just the way I play it. If you knew me you would know the truth is always my goal. I don't post a comment unless it is truthful from my standpoint, i.e, Nice looking call or sounds great. I know some of the other posters will post thier negitive thoughts of a subpar (in thier opinion) call or it's sound and thats fine for them. Please don't make something out of the simple statement I have posted. I don't blow smoke or as Grandslam so eliquently put it, Kiss sack. We attract what we put out to the world and I prefer to accentuate the positives when possible. Often I think, what would Jesus say. If this makes me less of anything in anyones eyes you are entitled to your opinion. May God bless us all.

That wasn't necessarily directed at you, but rather the whole idea that we should all be toting pom-pom's on this site.  The reality is, a forum that is nothing but pleasantries, flat out sucks.  If you can't be honest and call a spade a spade, the value of the commentary becomes far beyond watered down.

If we can give advice in a pleasant way, as not to demean another I am all for it. I received advise from a Great call maker once who came across a bit crass but, that was my interpetation. Turns out he was a little upset at the time with himself due to me being a new callmaker at an event we both were set up at, and he was getten spanked. We have become friends and he admitted his attitude was due to his disbelief of the way things were playing out. If we place ourselves in the other guys' shoes before we give a knee jerk response to something we dissagree with or think does not stack up to our own thoughts or ideas of what is, we can control the response much easier. IMO

While we're deleting rules, rule #1 needs to be gone.  It's obvious that the mods allow certain call makers to get drug through the mud, while seemingly standing in line to give others a reach around.

Kip thanks for the words of wisdom .  I truly believe there are a lot of members here who share your views. Those members who disagree with Kip, I got one question?.... If this place is as horrible as some are making it out to be..... What's keeping you here? There's no dues or contracts ... Your free to leave anytime you want, if it's that bad...  See ya' later BYE!! I'm sorry to have to speak like this, but when a few is interrupting the good members who are trying to enjoy this site. That were we will step in. It's obvious that a few members are just sticking around Osage Roost to try to cause as much havoc as possible on here. There's not going to be any rule changes.... Baglicking commits are alway welcome... Respectful exchange of conversation is always welcome too. This may not be the perfect site for some... But most of us like it the way it is, before all this up roar.. Some don't agree with the way we are handling things. Well, You should have taken this thankless moderator job when some of you had the chance to.  We are working hard to try to restore the camaraderie among members here who share the same passion of Turkey calls, Callmaking and turkey hunting. To restore this site to the happy place we all want to be apart of.
