Well fellas, that time is upon us. I've created our group and you can follow the link below to sign up and play..
The rules are the same as last year...
This year all entrants are expected to provide something for the pot of winnings. When the entrant signs up, they will post/list what they are putting in the pot and hopefully a picture as well. Rather than a winner takes all contest, the first place winner will get the first choice of the prizes, the second place finisher the second choice, and so forth and so on..
There are only two rules, first... you have to enter something as a prize. And secondly, when the selection of prizes comes around you cannot choose your own contribution.
In short, all you have to do is enter and so long as everyone honors their commitments you're guaranteed to walk away with something.
I dont have a picture yet, but I'll go ahead and start the festivities for the prize list. The caller I will be putting up is a box call from NWTF Gibson Award winning call maker Niles Oesterle. For those of you unfamiliar with Niles's work, you're in for a treat. You can wait a few years for one of Niles's calls if you go on the list. Or you can win one right here this Fall. I will have pics soon... And a hearty thank you to Niles's for putting something together for me....

I will be making a custom pot call and striker as my call and it will have a team logo on it. I will post a picture as soon as I get the call made and work out the logo with my buddy and his laser machine. Good luck to all.

I am in as well. Will sign up when I get home. I love this game. I am throwing in a pot call from good ole Redbeard. In Osage of course. I believe it is slate over glass will have to check when I get home. Will also post pics later. I might have another call to go along with it. Not sure on that one yet.

Ok, so after checking when I got home, the call I am putting in for sure is a 3 track player from Redbeard. It is an Osage pot, slate over crystal. Here are some pics of the call. It does have a striker, I just didn't take a pic of it. Hope to find out soon if I will have another call to go along with this one.

Alright gang, we are a third of the way through the season and its still anyones game. A real dogfight in the Top 5 for sure. This is definitely the most intensely contested Pickem' game ever.
My thanks to all of you..
As a reminder, the rules are that we must enter something for the lottery/prize selection which will begin immediately following the final Pickem' round. So that gives everyone about two months to get something together.
The game is great because when everyone does their part then all will walk away a winner.

Dave, we have a problem each year with bozo's logging in who arent invited. Some of those guys are in 10 or more different groups and putting in different picks each time. I dont understand, but to each their own.
I think there are about a dozen or so from the site who we know. If you are playing please add yourself to the list so that we know who you are..

This year has been the most difficult Pickem season in my memory. ESPN has gotten very good about putting the real toss up games on the Pickem contest. There have been quite a few upsets already this year. I like it as it keeps things interesting and makes it more fun.
Theres an element of luck that will certainly weigh in this season.

I dont think any of us did exceptionally well this past week. Quite a few went ways I didnt expect. And who would have thought VT would get it handed to them so badly in THEIR own house?!!!

I have to admit...Its A lotta fun...I find myself watching games I wouldnt ordinarily watch...The way some teams are playing this year, makes it hard to pic the winner!....This week was tuff!

Was at the game this weekend,......Urban and JoePa were mighty friendly,.....i had him pegged for the Ohio State job,...but the more i see those two together it really gets me thinking,....we just might get Urban as our coach at the end of this year.

Urb's a good Coach, but make no mistake... FL is a dirty program and he left before the fire got out of control. If it werent for Tebow's angelic presence the NCAA would have been all over them. If Urb goes to Penn ST I'd give the University two years or less before they have an NCAA inquiry.

what a joke. you trying to tell me that tebow influenced the ncaa not to look at florida??? believe me, i dislike uf as much as anyone, but your comments above are asanine. now that both urban and tebow are gone, why has the ncaa not come in to do some snooping at uf? why haven't they looked at utah? and to say that the ncaa would inquire if penn st brought urban on, is laughable. where are you coming up with this nonsense?

FL's player arrest record and self reported violations speak for themselves. Several estimates suggested the NCAA took in on the order $10-16M based on the merchandising of Tebow's likeness. If you were the NCAA how would you handle FL given the incoming cash flow? You say coincidence that as Saint Timmy moves on so does Urb? Explain why heir apparent Coach Mullen declined the position? I work in the heart of Gator country with a number of Gator boosters and alum. The truth is out there for those who choose to see it..

you said the ONLY reason uf wasn't targeted by the ncaa, was because of tebow. wow, we all know saint timmy walks on water, but didn't realize he controlled the ncaa too.

i'd just like to know where you're getting your information from. do you have any proof to support these statements, or is this just your opinion? if you have evidence to support it, then i apologize and i will say you are correct. if not, i stand by my previous post, where i said "what a joke".

You may be surprised to learn that there were NO scholly losses, NO tv blackouts, NO fines, and NO BCS/Bowl implications imposed by the NCAA. The LSU team isn't full of angels, but choirboys generally dont win national titles either.

you didn't answer my question about uf, do you have evidence supporting your claims, or is this just osage roost banter?
and i'm really not interested in reading up on lsu and the ncaa, as i have hardly enough time to read the countless stories of our football players getting in trouble on their scooters, be it for driving without a license, or crashing them. no 250 lb man should be riding a scooter anyway.

3 weeks left and no one has maintained a lead for very long. There are several guys who can realistically win the contest so its anybodys game. This game has been the most competitive Pick'em ever! For that I thank you...
Please remember that we will begin the prize selection just as soon as the final week is in the books. There is a seperate thread for you to post pics of your entry. Once the contest ends we will use that thread for the prize selection.

There is only one week left fellas. The prize selection is scheduled to begin on Sunday or Monday and a number of you havent submitted your offerings yet.

It's been a great contest and while I'm sad to see my three year run as Champion end, this years contest has actually been the most fun for me.
