Ok I know I know this is asked a lot, but I saw a couple of new additions this year from Rocky and one other company.
What is everyones favorite snake boot. I've never had any, but I'm beginning to think I should stop tempting a snake bite...

I have a pair from Cabelas that are very comfortable, they are Treckers
-
Danners, comfortable and easy on and off.

Porter- with that Pickle- Ball.....
Your already tempting fate !!
With your height- a good pair of snake boots will protect ya probablly up to your middle thighs
Hahahaha- had to fire the shots *lol*
Longest a pair ever lasted me was browning- the first pair of Rockies I had lasted 2 1/2 years- the next 2 pair didn't make it a season
-
Good question... I need a pair too. I used to like Rocky boots but their stuff is trash anymore.---Jason

Wouldn't a thick rubber boot work the same? That's what I wear when hunting or running dogs.
-
I wear Russell Turkey Hunter Lite snake boots. Awesome footwear - Custom made to my feet , not a generic size XX mold.
-
I have some new side zip Rockys that are on there 2nd season so far so good..
-
I am like Nitro, I had a pair of Russell Moccasin Snake boots made for me and have never regretted it on bit. I have had them 10 years now. They still don't leak, still fit me like a glove and are the best boots I have ever had. I think they will outlast me. Don't let the price scare you off, they will be the last snake boots you will need to buy.

I bought a pair of Rocky's a couple years ago and they lasted about 2 months, never again, that being said the Danner's LOOK like they would be good and comfortable, dont know though but i think i am gettin a pair..
-
Got me a pair of Russell's after Perryman talked about a pair he got that he claimed the same things you guys are saying- hunted em this fall and this is going to be their first spring season. They are pricey, but I think they are the best I have ever had

Interesting........I'm in the same boat and am looking for a new pair. I used to be a huge Rocky fan but they just are not producing the quality I use to get from them. I'm not easy on boats that's for sure. After a lot of research believe it or not the Trekker boats have the best rating out of any other boot (except Russell's and Danners)
I always passed up even looking at the Trekkers because I never heard much about them and the price was always half of what the others were asking. Hmmmm I might have to give them a shot.

Side zip lace up Brownings per McKamey's recommendation. Still going strong on year 2. Ed

Cant find these for sale anywhere. Do you remember where you bought yours?

I know Cabelas swears by them too! I'm debating on buying Lacrosse' rubber snake boots. I know a couple of yahoos in Mississippi that swear by them! I just hate wet feet!

I bought a pair of Boa'a at Cabelas last year and really like them. True to size (13) good ankle support but comfortable.
-
My Trekkers from Cabelas are very comfortable and I really like em.
-
I bought mine online at Super Casuals but it appears they are sold out of them now.

Danner Pronghorns if you cannot see buying the Russels.. What a gem.. I bought them for travel as we have no snakes but find myself wearing them all the time due to comfort.. They are awesome... Had a pair of Rockys that would give silver dollar type blisters from the day I bought them, till they were wore out.. My girlfriend has a pair of Rocky and the are the same for her..
Be warned however the Danner run Big.. I am a 10 in every other shoe, boot, sandal and have 9s or 9.5s..

I've always worn Rockys.....but after this year, it'll be something else. Their customer service use to be exceptional. Year before last, I had a pair that lasted only a few months. Bought a new pair last year and they are already leaking!!!!

Muck Boots Woody Armor - I bought them a few years back and love them. All rubber, easy to get on and off, fit well on my wide feet, and can handle the intense mud/water where I hunt.
The only problem that I've ever had is the seams on the back of the ankle came loose during this past deer season, but that was due to me leaving them in the back of my truck wet during a freeze. Muck Boots recommended Aquaseal. That got them right back to original condition. The seams are really what make them so darn comfortable (and the ease of getting them on and off), so I can't complain.
A common criticism I've seen on this particular model is that they're a bit hot for turkey season. I wear them all year long for deer and turkey season. I have noticed the warmth factor on particulary hot days, but it hasn't really bothered me. Apparently, Muck has taken these comments to heart and I believe discontinued this model for the new Muck Boots Woody Armor Cool. If I ever wear these out (doesn't seem likely) or need something cooler, I'll definitely grab a pair of those.
