Snake boots
« on: March 09, 2014, 08:41:13 PM »
Ok I know I know this is asked a lot, but I saw a couple of new additions this year from Rocky and one other company.

What is everyones favorite snake boot.   I've never had any, but I'm beginning to think I should stop tempting a snake bite...

Porter- with that Pickle- Ball.....
Your already tempting fate !!
With your height- a good pair of snake boots will protect ya probablly up to your middle thighs
Hahahaha- had to fire the shots  *lol*
Longest a pair ever lasted me was browning- the first pair of Rockies I had lasted 2 1/2 years- the next 2 pair didn't make it a season

Wouldn't a thick rubber boot work the same? That's what I wear when hunting or running dogs.

I wear Russell Turkey Hunter Lite snake boots.  Awesome footwear - Custom made to my feet , not a generic size XX mold.

I am like Nitro, I had a pair of Russell Moccasin Snake boots made for me and have never regretted it on bit. I have had them 10 years now. They still don't leak, still fit me like a glove and are the best boots I have ever had. I think they will outlast me. Don't let the price scare you off, they will be the last snake boots you will need to buy.

Got me a pair of Russell's after Perryman talked about a pair he got that he claimed the same things you guys are saying- hunted em this fall and this is going to be their first spring season. They are pricey, but I think they are the best I have ever had

Interesting........I'm in the same boat and am looking for a new pair.  I used to be a huge Rocky fan but they just are not producing the quality I use to get from them.  I'm not easy on boats that's for sure.  After a lot of research believe it or not the Trekker boats have the best rating out of any other boot (except Russell's and Danners)

I always passed up even looking at the Trekkers because I never heard much about them and the price was always half of what the others were asking.  Hmmmm I might have to give them a shot.
